Discover MICEPA, a white honey-processed coffee from the rising region of Chirripó, Costa Rica. Produced with care by Rigoberto Alaya Blanco and José Ureña Ulloa, this coffee highlights the dedication of eight farming families who have built a tightly run community mill from the ground up.
About MICEPA
Located at 1,495 meters above sea level in the Chirripó region, MICEPA (Microbeneficio Cerro Paraguas) is a shared mill representing the work of approximately fifteen farms. Though coffee production in this region is relatively new, it has quickly earned a reputation for exceptional quality and flavour. This lot, composed of Catuai and Caturra varieties, is processed as a white honey and dried on tiered raised beds to preserve clarity and sweetness.
Precision from Start to Finish
MICEPA is led by Rigoberto and José, who bring meticulous attention to every stage of processing. Each cherry is carefully selected, with the white honey process retaining a touch of mucilage for added sweetness. Their control of fermentation and drying practices allows the full character of the coffee to shine through.
This lot stands out for its dark chocolate, marshmallow and spice flavour profile. The acidity is mellow and soft, but the sweetness is elevated, making it an ideal choice for an everyday cup that never gets old.

We ship across Canada. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your order and destination.

Processing & delivery times
We roast in small batches and pack fresh. Most orders ship within 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays).
Once shipped, delivery time depends on your region and carrier capacity. You’ll receive tracking as soon as your order leaves our roastery.

At this time, we’re not able to ship orders to U.S. addresses.
Recent changes to U.S. import and processing fees can add significant charges at the border, making small orders unpredictable and often unaffordable. To protect customers from surprise costs and delays, we’ve paused U.S. shipping for now.

Returns & refunds
Coffee (whole bean + ground)
Coffee is a perishable product, so coffee purchases are final sale once shipped.
If something is wrong with your order (damaged parcel, incorrect item, or a quality issue), contact info@transcendcoffee.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and details. Photos help if the parcel was damaged. We’ll make it right.
Ground coffee (custom ground)
We grind coffee specifically to the brew method you select, so ground coffee can’t be returned or exchanged once shipped.
Not sure what to choose? We recommend ordering whole bean for maximum freshness and flexibility.
If we grind your order incorrectly, contact us — we’ll fix it.
Equipment & merchandise
Unopened, unused equipment and merchandise may be eligible for return. Email info@transcendcoffee.com within 15 days of delivery to request authorization.
