After twenty years in specialty coffee, I’m harder to impress than I used to be.
Rarity is not enough. A high price is not enough. A beautiful farm story is not enough. For a coffee to make it into the Transcend Reserve Club, it has to earn its place in the cup.
I created the Reserve Club to share the coffees that still stop me in my tracks — tiny lots with clarity, sweetness, structure, and a sense of place. Members receive first access to our most limited releases, along with the brew recipes, tasting notes, and pairing ideas that help reveal what makes each coffee worth slowing down for.

Monthly Reserve Coffee

Guaranteed Access to the First Two Micro Lots
Founding members receive guaranteed access to our first two Reserve micro lots before they are released more broadly.
72-Hour Early Access
Members get the first opportunity to purchase future limited releases before they are offered to the public.
Member Pricing
Reserve Club members receive preferred pricing on Reserve coffees while maintaining access to the most limited lots we roast.
First Right to Buy an Extra Bag
When availability allows, members may purchase one additional bag of the monthly Reserve coffee before any remaining bags are released publicly.
Poul’s Brew Recipe
Each coffee includes a recommended brew recipe to help you get the best expression from the cup at home.
Tasting & Pairing Notes
Each release includes Poul’s tasting notes, along with a pairing suggestion — wine style, tea, chocolate, pastry, or another beverage chosen to illuminate the coffee.
Quarterly Online Reserve Tasting
Members are invited to a quarterly Reserve tasting where we explore selected coffees, brewing choices, flavour structure, and what makes each lot worth paying attention to.
Founding Membership
$135 for the first three months - Cafe Pickup
$180 for the first three months, including monthly shipping anywhere in Canada
Includes one Reserve coffee each month, guaranteed access to our first two micro lot releases, member pricing, early access to future limited coffees, brew guidance, tasting notes, pairing recommendations, and an invitation to quarterly Online Reserve tastings.
Founding memberships are limited to 50 spots.
How It Works
Join as a Founding Member and receive one Reserve coffee each month for three months.
Your first three months include guaranteed access to our first two Reserve micro lot releases, along with one additional Reserve selection chosen by Poul. Each coffee includes brew guidance, tasting notes, and a pairing recommendation to help you get the most from the cup.
After the founding period, members may continue monthly or cancel before the next renewal.

The Reserve Club is a first-access membership for coffees that are too limited to offer broadly — selected for people who want to taste more deeply, brew more intentionally, and follow the coffees we’re most excited to roast.

Yes. Founding memberships begin with a three-month commitment. After that, you may continue monthly or cancel before your next renewal.
Yes. Local members may choose café pickup when joining. Pickup members receive a complimentary brewed coffee when collecting their monthly Reserve coffee.
Yes. Choose the Shipped membership option at checkout. Shipped memberships are $180 for the first three months and include monthly shipping within Canada.
