SNAP Coffee was started by a young coffee entrepreneur named Negusse Weldyes in 2008 once the laws in Ethiopia began the process to increase transparency. SNAP owns and operates washing stations in the Gedeo zone and partners with washing stations in Guji and West Arsi. To raise quality standards at their washing stations, SNAP hired the Coffee Quality Institute and is applying their standards at all of their washing stations.
This lot comes from Chelbesa, the largest coffee-growing region in Gedeb, and was processed at the SNAP washing station in Danche. This washing station is at a slightly higher elevation and serves approximately 500 coffee farmers. Enjoy this spectacular coffee, full of classic Ethiopian flavours we love: explosive floral aromatics, ripe and juicy citrus fruits, all buoyed by black tea and spices.

We want to draw your attention to a subtle change on our labels, all of our labels now include both filter and espresso symbols. The reason for this is simple: all of our coffees have been prepared so that they are well suited to any brewing method. Different brewing methods will highlight different aspects of our coffees, making each brew unique. We will continue to classify any coffees we deem especially suited for brewing espresso.
